Support Good Theater’s New Home!
Dear Friends,
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you for being part of an incredibly meaningful chapter for Good Theater.
We hope you’ve had an opportunity to check out our new home at Stevens Square. We love the space and are so grateful to all of our patrons who helped make this a reality! Steve Underwood, our Production Manager, and his team have tackled renovations, and along with your support, they have created a theater that is comfortable with great sightlines and terrific acoustics. If you haven’t gotten to visit yet, we hope you will join us in the near future. We have parking!!!!!
Our first season here began with two critical and commercial successes: the musical It Shoulda Been You and the comedy Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors. It Shoulda Been You was the perfect start to our Stevens Square chapter, with a terrific cast, big laughs, and joyful audiences. Dracula followed with a hysterical run that not only delighted longtime patrons but also attracted new, younger audiences. There are three more Main Stage shows (George Dvorsky's Something Wonderful, Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Soprano, and Tony-Nominated Playwright Bess Wohl's Grand Horizons) and two New York Cabaret events (I Happen to Like New York and An Evening with Tony-winner Debbie Gravitte) still to come this season.
Good Theater is dedicated to creating shows that lift your spirits and put a smile on your face. As we settle into our new home, we are also navigating the very real costs of producing professional theater. We are extremely proud to be the largest employer of Maine-based theater artists and love working with the local performers, designers, and technicians who bring our shows to life.
As we prepare for the year ahead, we invite you to make a tax-deductible contribution to help Good Theater continue to grow in our beautiful new space. Your support sustains our artists, keeps our productions affordable, and ensures that laughter and creativity thrive right here in our community.
Thank you for believing in Good Theater and for helping us build something truly special.
We can't wait to see you at the theater!
With gratitude,
Brian, Steve, Gusta and Michael
