A young artist is in love but in debt to a villainous art-dealer. When the art dealer forecloses on the artist threatening debtor’s prison, the painter realizes only dead artists are worth anything, so he fakes his own death and comes back as his “widowed” sister. This gets him out of debt but how to get out of the dress to marry his true love?!
